Portal vs M3U vs Xtream
| Login type | Credential shape | Typical failure |
|---|---|---|
| Stalker Portal | Portal URL plus registered MAC | URL typo or unregistered MAC |
| M3U | One complete URL | Typo, expired link, or dead source |
| Xtream Codes | Server plus username and password | Wrong field or inactive account |
What Stalker Portal is
Stalker Portal comes from the MAG set-top-box world: instead of a playlist file or API credentials, the provider binds the subscription to a portal address plus a device identity. Unlike TiviMate M3U playlists or Xtream Codes logins, a portal connection has no username or password fields — authentication rides on the address plus the registered MAC.
Enter the portal URL
- Copy the exact portal URL from the provider.
- Do not add a trailing slash unless the provider specifies one.
- Keep the http or https scheme exactly as supplied.
Enter the MAC address
- Use the MAC the provider gave you, not necessarily the hardware address printed on the device.
- The 00:1A:78 prefix is the common Stalker range.
- Enter it with colons, exactly as registered.
MAG user-agent note
Some portals gate by client identity and only talk to recognized box profiles. If the portal demands it, test a MAG-style user agent such as MAG250/306 the TiviMate user-agent way: one value, one retry, and a note of the original so you can revert.
Auth-failure fixes
- Confirm the MAC is registered with the provider before changing anything else.
- Re-copy the portal URL character by character.
- Confirm the account is active and within its connection limit.
- Ask the provider about portal-side blocks, which are invisible from inside the app.
- Once connected, the same TiviMate setup verification applies: play a channel, then check the guide.
